Server v2 wont install

So I've tried this multiple times and got the same results (fail) each time.

I stop the server. Uninstall the server. Restart machine. Download server set-up from mobileairmouse.com. Install server.

After performing the above steps I still end up with the old version of the server, 1.3.whatever.

What gives? Any ideas?

Cant get it working either but think I have the wrong server installer file.
What version is the server supposed to be? 2.0?
If so then the wrong setup file is on the main page. Check the file details when you download it.
Says version 1.1.0.3 - same as when its installed.
If we need 2.0 then this aint it. Is there an alternative download location?

That's what I thought at first too.
I figured the latest file just wasn't uploaded yet. But I know that not to be true because I d-loaded and installed v2 on my notebook, which had not previously had the airmouse server installed.
I assume, since the instructions were to uninstall the previous version first, that v2 wont install over the old one. I think that there is a problem with the apps uninstall utility. It is leaving something behind that is preventing v2 from installing.

I took a little different path so have some additional information. Before I did the install of 2.0, I uninstalled the previous version. This means that I don't see ANY version after the 2.0 install.

In fact, the files are all installed properly and it will run (if you find it in C:\Program Files (x86)\Air Mouse\Air Mouse.exe). The problem is that the program is not being "installed" into the list of programs that Windows knows about. There is no shortcut being created either on the desktop or in the "Start Menu" programs list (which means that Search can't find it either.

What I did, as a simple work-around, was to copy the above file to my desktop AS A SHORTCUT. Once you've done this, the program can be used from there, until this problem is fixed.

Let me also add that there are some problems with the "Server Settings" dialog box if you have used the "Make items larger" stuff under the desktop "Properties / Screen Resolution" settings. Bascially the dialog isn't adjusting for larger text, so for instance the "Help" link at the top shows only as "p". Part of the "Port:" word is cut off. The Apply/Done buttons at the bottom are only slightly visible (hidden below the bottom of the screen).

No offense Barry, but your problem doesn't seem related to the problem in this thread at all. You are saying that v2 installed just find but didn't create any shortcuts so you created one yourself, right?

Our problem is that v2 will not install at all, the old version 1.3 just keeps installing instead.

If it is not installing version 2.0, please clear your cache and reload the site. Make sure the installer is called setup2.0.exe. Many users were downloading the new installer, but then running the old installer.

All good now. I just re-downloaded the installer and got setup2.0.exe.

When I installed the server on my laptop, which had never been to mobileairmouse.com before, I got a file called just setup.exe yet it installed server version 2. Wierd.
