This is surely one of the top three apps I own. I like most things about it except it has some bugs and could be made more functional with some enhancements. This is why it gets 3 stars.
first the bugs; (I have windows XP)
* The double tap on return does not generate a TAB as claimed.
* Horizontal scroll on the track pad does not work.
* No access is available to the instant viewer in XP (introduced by intellipoint 6.1 I think) by pressing the scroll button on track pad. The video for v1.5 claims this feature.
* I could not get any trackpad gestures to work for selecting items.
* Hibernate option is not available for Win XP even when it is turned on.
* Restart option is also not available, yet most used in windows world.
Suggestions for some features that would raise this nice clean effort another notch in creativity and quality.
*For media apps it should be a natural choice to be able to transfer the sound of the media to ipod/iphone remote so that sound of a movie playing can be heard on earphones...and nobody disturbed. (really this one feature would be golden to have)
* for media apps - the remote should be able to provide access to library i-e for VLC media player
Keep up the good work...

* The double tap needs to be pretty fast to generate a Tab key, can you try that again?
* Horizontal scroll isn't supported in XP as far as I know
* Instant viewer isn't supported by default, but could probably be added pretty easily in the server settings. I believe you are referring to flip 3D in the video right? If so, that's not available in XP.
* Which gestures are you referring to?
* We didn't add restart and hibernate because we are thinking of the computer as a device, like a set top box. In which case you'd only really care to turn it off or put it into standby mode and we don't want to clutter the app with too many options. However we understand you're needs may be different, so we plan on adding more places to customize the app, which eventually you'll be able to add practically any functionality you want on your own.
Thanks for the feedback. If you have any technical problems that I was not able to solve for you, please use the contact form to send the issue directly to us so we can investigate it for you.

I fully agree that access to the VLC library (or even a general directory listing that could be selected and selection passed to VLC via the server) would be key to making this a great ap IF the library could be viewed and selected from the iPhone.
I pretty much use this mouse just as a remote for VLC. I simply used two of the server level hot keys to turn off the target PC after I am finished watching a movie. The first one just pops up the Windows START window. Do this by creating a hot key at the system level, label it START (or whatever) and select windows key + s (i use s but it doesn't matter what key you use it seems). This pops up the START window. Then simply create another hot key associated with the letter 'u' and lable it OFF (or whatever you like). Once these are set up you simply click on the START hot button followed by 2 clicks on the OFF hot button.
It certainly would be nice if the hot key function allowed for a sequence of keys to the hot button rather than a single key combination. Then I would only waste one hot button. But I see they did add VBasic so I suppose it can be done that way if you want to write a small amount of code and know how or what system call to make.
One other bug that I found is that if I make any kind of change to seemingly any of the server parameters, I have to reboot the server following the change. Otherwise, any iPhone client air mouse attached to that server will no longer be able to reconnect following a sleep cycle. Oh and also, setting VLC as a managed ap does not seem to work for me. I had to unclick it as a managed ap in order for the iPhone air mouse client to recongnize it when in focus. No biggie since I set up my own hot and extra keys for VLC anyway so not much value in having it managed. Still, it was difficult to figure out that the problem was that little check mark. I set up a server level hot key to bring up VLC and still it did not recognize that it was active in the media view. And it still confuses me why the media template does not automatically come up when VLC is in focus since it knows that it is a media ap and it obviously knows it is in focus because once I manually click it into the media template I see my hot keys.
