Just downloaded 2.0, awesome update. Love the dock! Had this since version 1.0 and am always amazed by all the new features you guys cram into each new release. This really is the app that keeps on giving!

The app store can sometimes update slower for some users, or it may be going off cache. Try using iTunes to download the app instead, it usually pulls fresh data better than the app store on the iPhone. Otherwise just wait for the app store on your iPhone to update.

Like the previous posters, I am amazed by just how much y'all have crammed into this update. The effort really shows.
However, I have had a few minor issues that I thought pertinent to share.

1) The new tab button for web mode is a great addition, but it currently opens a new window (in both FF and IE), rather than a new tab.
2) This might be a little picky, but in the previous version, switching back to browser mode only brought the browser window back in focus. Now however, switching back to browser mode changes the shape of the browser window and takes it out of full screen,
3) Finally, at least so far, AMP has frozen every time I try to use any of the 8 media player specific buttons surrounding the play/pause complex (only tested this on iTunes).

Other than these three issues, I love everything about the update. The changes made to keyboard modes are exceptional, and I also love the concept of the dock mode (it looks pretty slick too). Thanks for a great update, and for reading user feedback!

Thanks for the feedback. Please uninstall the server, then download a new copy of the installer off our site and install it again. We just fixed #1 & #2. We are looking into #3 and will PM you for more details.

I downloaded and installed the new app and software and it's not working. When I start the server and run the app the server crashes. I have uninstalled both the app and server software. I'm using a MacBook running OS X 10.6.2. Don't know what to do next.

I downloaded it a few hours ago (PST) and the new tab still opens a new window. And would it be possible to make those 4 customization buttons be anything? I wanna put them to like Internet and stuff, but it has to be an executable?
Also, how do you open your CD rom from it? I thought I read that you could...maybe I'm just crazy.

Go to the media keyboard. You'll find the button in the lower right-hand corner! :)

Additional to this: What about the idea of closing the CD/DVD drive after you clicked again on the button? It's not really necessary but it would be nice! :D

Also, this screen has a 'delete' button, but it really needs a 'backspace' button to be useful.

This is an amazing program. I had this for long and use it everyday. Especially the chinese and japanesee keyboard were very useful.Safe me a lot time in enter characters. But I find a pro blem in this update edition that my keyboard is no longer work with chinese or japanese characters. Do you have a solution for that? I've been looking everywhere and I can't seem to find an answer to my question, so here goes:

Is there documentation somewhere of button mappings are set up in the various media applications? I noticed you added support for Plex, so I was trying to figure it out. I figured out scrolling up and down and selecting things, but that seems to be the limit of what works for me.

Since upgrading to 2.0, I have been unable to connect to my laptop. It gives me error "Unable to Connect".

I am running Win 7 64. I have tried uninstalling, restarting, and reinstalling the iphone app. I have done the same with the server (including re-downloading a copy of the software and deleting files in the "appdata" folder . . . please help.

Me too. Previous version was fine. My setup: ipod touch; Macbook (10.5.8), sharing internet over ethernet & wifi; Mini (10.5.8) connected via ethernet & same wifi network.

Neither machine connects any longer, after several hours of random crashes & resetting of server, though they did at first briefly.

(Next day) - Problem solved, at least omm. Turned out to be internet network issue. My internet system runs from a USB modem running off CDMA plugged into the Macbook, and then shared over ethernet to the other machine & Airport to enable the iPod to go online. Turning off the Airport sharing and running off a local wifi network enabled Air Mouse 2 to work fine. Great update! Had the same problem with VLC remote, now fixed too.

Ok, can't run the iPod online at the same time, but it's just making the switch in settings & sharing. Maybe this'll help others?

Upgraded my application on iPhone to 2.0 but the server software refuse to install and keeps hanging at the "Computing Space Requirements" portion. I can't click next to proceed. Can you please help. Thanks!

I am also not able to get the new software to work. Before 2.0 this was awesome. I am running Windows XP Home 32 bit for my media center. I have removed the earlier version of software and downloaded the newest version along with updating my iPhone version. I am getting the error message on my phone that it is not able to find the server.

Really nice upgrade - Keep ut the good work!! This app shows potential to be the ultimate HTPC remote control software for the iphone/ipod.

I am relatively new to this app but have some first impressions. My main use of it will be on a Mac media center controlling Plex, Itunes, Safari ++ (testing it on my macbook for the time being - hopefully upgrade it with a Mac mini in the future)

What I like:
- Really good mouse pad
- Really good keyboard functionality
- Polished user interface and slick designed layout
- Nice touch with the "application tray" in 2.0 - really useful


Wishes for future releases:
- Optional full screen remote control (with the choice of bigger buttons or more buttons)
- More customization when it comes to layout of the remote (add and remove buttons based upon a library of button-sets, and the option to add own buttons (as png, tiff, etc.) )
- "Upgrade" the application tray adding the option to browse media files etc. (like XBMC remote and Remote buddy AJAX has)
- Downloadable scripts for improving functionality (written by the developers or the public)


Another thing: I see there is a option to publish remote layout but no option to download - will that be implemented in the near future? I would be nice to se how other user have customized their remotes.

Thanks, with the new server, the number '1' key now works in the numeric keypad.

However, the functionality of the numeric keypad remains very limited because of the lack of a 'Backspace' button. There is a 'Delete' button, but this doesn't do anything when using the keypad to input numbers, made worse by the fact that there is no cursor control in the numeric keypad screen. i.e. if you make a mistake entering a number on this screen, you cannot correct the mistake.

I highly recommend changing the 'delete' key to a 'backspace' key.

I just want to second a comment that appears a couple of times above (I guess that would be third). There doesn't seem to be much documentation on customizing the remote buttons. I would love to be able to make this work better with Boxee and Plex. I also noticed the option to publish remotes but cannot find where we can download remotes created by others.

I currently run three remote apps on my iPhone (Air Mouse, Snatch, and the Boxee remote). Until this latest release, AM was the least used because Snatch had a launcher and a great Plex remote. Now I see things evening out a bit with your gorgeous dock. If I could have a better media center remote on AM, I would have no need for Snatch.
