Screen Zoom

I use air mouse on a computer I use as a media center. While the screen is large enough to see movies from far, and I can always increase the text size on web pages, most other features really require that I zoom in to see or stand up and walk over to the screen to see, which defeats my usage of air mouse. I use OS X 10.6, and have it configured such that ctrl + mouse wheel zooms me in or out, and the zoomed in screen follows my cursor. I have two problems with mobile mouse: this key combination doesn't work (nothing happens when I hit control and then try to scroll up/down), and even if it did work it would be annoying to hit that combination. There's already a +/- button combination in your mouse app, it would be nice if there was a way to have these buttons cause me to zoom in and out.
