Doesn't work with windows 7 media centre??

Hey guys, love this app!!!

Although I can't get it to do anything in media centre except change volume. Controls media player fine, I'm just surprised it doesn't work with media centre!?

Or am I missing something ;)

I've always had the same problem since buying the software months ago before W7. Volume control seems to work perfectly, however, none of the other media keys will control media centre, nor will the cursor keys.

Never did get a response from Support on the matter and just gave up as wasted cash.

Yeah I noticed it in the first installation and figured 7 was still fairly new and it might come out in an update.

Which is why I was very dissapointed to see it hadn't been fixed in this latest update.

I'm not giving up hope on a support reply yet tho! :)

Agreed. You can launch Media center from the home screen, but when MC is running, none of the 'hot' buttons work ( TV, Music, etc ).

Then only buttons that seem to work are the volume, eject and #.

I'm running xp/mc 2005

All the buttons should be working just fine, I am running it on my end every day. If the controls, such as play/pause next/back, ect. aren't working, make sure that the UAC is enabled. In Windows if you disable the UAC, it will block all keystrokes with modifier keys that are sent from other programs.

Just to confirm, i had exactly the same problem with no media keys in 7MC. Turning on UAC solved it. Finally using Air Mouse as it was intended!! :D

So its the blasted UAC being a pain again, figures....god I hate that thing, hence it always being switched off.

So now I'm torn between leaving it off and having no decent airmouse in WMC or putting up with UAC again....decisions decisions =p

Completely agree, it really is a shame it has to be this way. We are working on a way around this though, but Microsoft doesn't make it easy for developers to do. Hopefully in a future update we will be able to resolve all this UAC nonsense.

Most buttons works ok for me in Media Center, but I have UAC enabled... Only Home button doesn't seem to work.

Ive got my UAC set to the lowest possible settings and it works fine now :)

How did u keep it working in MC without UAC? Run as admin?

Yeah disabling UAC (the lowest setting) and then right clicking the startup shortcut and checking "run as admin" in the compatibility tab and rebooting once again breaks Media Center support. Stupid ass UAC!!! Whatever I think i'll just leave it off cuz I still prefer my MC remote to Air Mouse. Maybe eventually we'll get a version that has a workaround.

I am running Media Center on WinXP SP3 and experiencing the same issues. Any suggestions?

The fact that this isn't getting fixed is really annoying. No one should change the way they use their PC's because of one piece of software, it would be wonderful if this got some attention and if it has it would be great to know progress on it, I can't use any of the shortcuts for most of my programs because of this impediment.

All media center controls and commands with modifier keys work fine in Snatch (a similar iphone app to air mouse pro), without the need for UAC.

I prefer the interface for air mouse pro, and really want to use it, but I have to keep UAC off for other reasons (plus UAC is very annoying)

Maybe the devs could have a word with the developer of Snatch for a solution. Failing that, have a search on google. The answer cannot be that hard to find!
